I may not be too fluent in using it, but I am learning to use Git to save my work in. After every sitting where I do coding, I commit and push my project with appropriate descriptions of what I have added and changed.
Of course, I want to show off my Feedpulses. I should definitely have asked for feedback more often, but I didn't get to it. Either I was too locked in during work, or I couldn't find an available teacher. I will be more mindful of this going forward, however.
For organization, we mostly used Discord. Discord is nice and easy to use. Channels and categories for different subjects can be made, and sending files works nicely as well. Pinned messages can be used to take note of important things.
During one of the workshops, we received a small in-class assignment where we were tasked with creating a small idea for a poster. This helps us practice separating important things we want to be eye-catching, and we also practice setting certain vibes.
I sketched this poster, aiming to portray silence and solitude. I went up to my teacher to ask for feedback. He gave me wonderful advice, teaching me to look into the Golden Ratio which I very fondly expanded on by researching it. Very interesting!
I implemented his feedback and I do think the poster looks better now. I placed the text a bit more down so it aligns with the rule of thirds. I also made the mountain bigger to hammer down on the solitude and size of the area.
I made some quick ideas for my portfolio website. I know they’re pretty barebones and not that exceptional, but it works for my goals this semester. I'd prefer to focus on having fun with my website and taking it easy while putting more effort into my group project, for example. I ended up sticking with the purple idea because find it easier to work with than green.
